4.6 1996 Stang-GT Idol Trouble

I have a 1996 4.6 liter mustang gt , whenever I start it , it idols under 1000 rpm and dies , it takes 5 or 10 min for it to run right. My friend said it could be a temperature sensor telling my car that its hotter than it really is , I know nothing about that stuff so if you could please help me I would appreciate it.

one of my buddies had that same problem and the temp sensor was it, except his was telling the car that it was cold and causing it to choke down and from the excess gas.

try replacing the gasket between the plentium and throttle body, this fixed my friends 98 model with the same problem you are having.this gasket cost less than 2 bucks at advanced auto.
