Radio Code

Hello everyone, am new in this forum.
I have a 98 blazer and i changed the alternator on it, so as you can imagine i lost the radio, I need the code for the stereo. I called the dealer and they want $50 bucks for the reset, is there anywhere else i can get the code besides the dealer.

thank you guys

joe

Re: Radio Code

I have the info you need, i too had same prob when replacing alternator, will have to get back to you thou later as the info is in the blazer glove box and its not here now, but will be by 10am or Thurs.

press the 2 & 3 numbers at the same time for about 10 seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will come up; press the am/fm button for about 10 seconds; another code will appear; dial 1-800-537-5140 and enter 201208 (dealer code) followed by the # sign; enter the 4 or 6 digit code from your radio followed by an *; the phone number will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code; enter this code into your radio just as your owners manual tells you to
