just what I feared...wheel rub!!!

I have a 92 civic dx hatch and I just put a set of 17x7 konig heliums on it with 205/40 tires. Two days after I got them I took a sharp turn and there was rubbing. This is with the stock height of the car too. I am planning on putting some coilovers on it so I won't be monster truckin' it which is probably going to cause more rubbing. I was thinking about putting a lower rear tie bar and try to cut the body roll down. What do you guys suggest?

First I would find out exactly where it's rubbing.

Lower tie bars DO NOT control body roll at all. They only provice bracing between the rear lower control arms. Sway bars on the other hand control body roll.

17's are too big for a Civic, deal with the rubbing, get your fenders rolled, or jack it up 4x4 style.

It would also help to know what offset wheels they were. If you got anything lower than a 40mm offset you're screwed unless you add some negative camber where it's rubbing.

I get wheel rub on my left side with 13's but thats only cuz I hit a curb head on going 55 mph while falling asleep on the road. actually it was a baby divider on the road with grass about 6 inches tall. Not good.
