stock piping? new cat

So my dad's cat on his '98 Accord DX went out (at least the mechanic told us it was the cat....... it made weird noises when he shook it). The car has around 160k miles, but that still seems a lil soon for the cat to be going out. Anyway, I need to know what size piping comes stock on these. Anyone know? Also for a replacement we're thinkin about getting the carsound/magnaflow cat, they're around 100$ and we'll just take it to a muff shop and have them install it. Any suggestions on diff cats/etc? Thanks!!

If you don't have emissions testing where you live, and you don't care much for hte environment, get a testpipe on ebay for 30-40 bucks. Unfortuantly I don't know the exhaust diameter on the newer accords, sorry.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

we're in thurston county washington (no emissions... only the tacoma/seattle area).... so that might be the way to go. is it really that bad on the enviroment? will it make any obnoxious sounds?
