Re: drifting???????

Yeah...don't

Drifting is a controlled slide by definition. TOO many people see it in a videogame or a movie and try and do it. I personally have seen too many idiots take out street signs or crash into trees trying to be 'cool' and drift around turns. Save your vr4, they are limited already. If you must lose traction, wait till it snows then do some donuts in a parking lot.

-15Gs, 3sx aluminum pulley, FMIC, SAFC, walboro pump, EVO 560ccs, and Meth Injection Kit all waiting to go in shortly.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Drifting is more only for RWD cars, like Igov said, "a controlled slide" AWD only drift good at high speed drifts....doesnt this sound bad enough already? "A not so Controlled HIGH SPEED slide......" wooooo sign me up...

Re: drifting???????

I prefer you not to drift with VR4. First, it's a rare car, don't mess with it. Second, it's a bi*ch to drift with a 4wd car. 4wd cars are only good at drifting in the Rally, or Snow surface, they're really good at handling those situation. Just like the evos, but VR4 is not really a Rally car, it's a flat low car. So I think Mitsubishi made that car as a road hugger, which will never slide or spin. It's even got 4 wheel steering, how can it really drift? So if you want to drift on just the concrete, get a FR (Front engine, Rear wheel drive) car, which will probably drift easily.

Re: drifting???????

HAHA, I have definantly slide and spun in my vr4, so don't think your invinsible...my 2nd tip would be not to swerve for a cat when doing 110mph when the road is banking the other direction.

Peskey animals walking in front of cars. I lost my front AA the same way, 120mph into a dead racoon. Ripped my AA and the insides of the wheels wells off. Right when it happened I laughed my ass off, cause I killed the racoon the night before at around 90mph.

And for that extra special surprise. When I pulled apart my rear suspention guess what I found. The bottom jaw and part of the face of the racoon..................ewwwwwww.

why would u want to drift in your vr-4......if u want to impress people get some big blow off valves!!!! LOL they are great! But back to your question awd cars are pretty much for racing thats it...u can do donuts which look good if u have big enough parking lot to start it up but damn it tears your tires apart! U cant really do a drift unless u are at high speeds and u dont want to do that b/c everbody pretty much sumed it up, a vr-4 is a rare car and we dont need to see it curled around a tree.

even experienced drifters run into some trouble time to time, drifting is much to advanced for most drivers on the street (most). So many factors are involved, and those are in rwd cars.

LOL i love watching newbs in thier fwd hondas try to do a drift and run into a light pole. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
