Change rings or not?
I am in the middle of doing a valve grind to my 89 240sx (230,000kms), and i was thinking of replacing the piston rings while I was at it...
Does this sound reasonable? or should I leave well enough alone, and just put the head back on... If I change the rings, should I change anything else, or can I get away with reassembling the connecting rods/etc with all the same bushings, etc... |

Re: Change rings or not?
unless you plan on rebuilding the engine for more power then i would suggest to leave them alone

Re: Change rings or not?
Do you have the money? New shit is almost always better than old shit. You can just replace the rings, but replacing the pistons is a good idea. Did you ever do a compression test before you took the engine apart? By the way, 240fanatic, that is an awesome screen name. Where did you get it?
