Anti-Theft Device

While driving my mountaineer died and the anti-theft device came on and started saying step away from the vehicle, the alarm is about to go off. Now it will not start and the key will not even unlock the door. Any ideas!!!!!

What's the brand of alarm? Sounds like a faulty ground or intermitant power supply.
