if you look on 3sx performance.com, in the body link, they sell the 99' front ends, with the bubble lights and stuff, as for your question about spoilers on that other thread, also on 3sx they have the 99 spoilers, that you can buy, then have painted to match ur color.

Re: 99 headlights for gen 2
If you have a 94-98, you can switch to 99 headlights, although they do cost over a grand for the 2. If you have a 91-93, you need to do some fabrication and probably have to buy the light and radiator support thing from 3sxperformance.com as well.

Re: 99 headlights for gen 2
Well I know the 2nd gen hoods are interchangeable with the 99 hoods, so that doesn't matter. As well, the mounting buckets for the 2nd gen lights are the same as the 99, plus the are the same size.
I know you can use the stock lights with the 99 bumper, so I am assuming that the 99 lights would work with a gen 2 bumper. Check out this FAQ: http://www.3sxperformance.com/faq/99/index.asp it doesn't directly answer that question though. I would recommend calling 3sx at 704.545.6400 and asking them directly.

Re: 99 headlights for gen 2
but what you are saying is very logical...cause all the stuff can work for both 2nd gens and 99s

Re: 99 headlights for gen 2
If you put a 99 front end on a 2nd Gen can you still get the active aero to work in front?

99 lights are a different shape than the 94-98 3000GT, but are the same shape as the 94-96 stealth lights. You can make them fit the 94-98 3000GT bumper but you will have to mod it slightly. the front bottom edge extends just slightly father towards the outside of the car.
Will it fit, yes. But you may have to shave a little bit off the bumper. |
