you will have to leave it a while mate, a lot of people on here are from around the world so most people may be asleep, just give it a day or two and then you will get your answer

from my understanding, it should fit, but if it doesnt, it shouldn't be to hard to find a tb from an a6 engine

Re: help im trying to do a mpfi but i never get the right parts

the z6 and y8 tb's are basically b-series tb's. They're interchangeable with b-series tb's not d-series...the bolt pattern is different. Just put on the y8 manifold...it's the best d-series manifold available.

Re: help im trying to do a mpfi but i never get the right parts

a z6 or y8 wont be a direct swap, they are OBD1 ad OBD2... so unless you do a conversion... unless you can use d16a6 sensors on the z6 or y8 manifold...can you?

Re: help im trying to do a mpfi but i never get the right parts

the only sensors that different from OBD generation is an oxygen sensor. TPS, IAT, MAP, etc. etc. DO NOT MATTER.

Use a z6/y8 intake and change out the fuel injectors and you are good to go.

Re: help im trying to do a mpfi but i never get the right parts

all the sensors are the same. the only difference (electronics wise) between the d16z6 manifold and d16a6 manifold is the D16Z6 manifold has the vacuum purge solenoid located on the back side of the manifold, and on our cars its located on the firewall. Also, the d16z6 throttle body has the map sensor mounted on it instead of on the firewall. I personally extended the vacuum purge solenoid wires, added a different plug (round, 2 pin plug, like IAT and others) and used the Z6 MAP sensor and purge, and removed that hideous setup from the firewall.

You, on the other hand, might choose to keep your firewall mounted map sensor and purge solenoid, and the car will not know the difference.

you *might* have to extend the IAT (intake air temperature sensor) wire since its located in a slightly different place on the z6 manifold. All of the plugs will be identical, though, except for that purge solenoid.
