Will 99 Ram head lights fit on a 96 Ram? Mine are yellowed.
Hi guys, I thought maybe someone could help me out with this question. My 96 Ram head light lens are yellowed and the light really doesn't shine through. I was thinking about replacing them, but If the newer clear style from 99- 02 work I'd like to use those. Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone's 96 Ram head lights turned yellow?

Thanks. I found that out today from a dealer. I was very happy to hear that, but then I found out that the 99 head lights have 2 bulbs per head and as we all know 96 only has 1 per head light. now that seems to be a big problem. How do I connect the 2nd bulb?

I know what you mean, but the 99 head lights look better than the 96. The 99 sport version has the clear lens.

Buy the connectors and wire them up. If you can't, then go strip the front lighting harness out of a junkyard.
(but I'd hate to see a '99 in a JY, it'd have to be really F#$&ed up)

I'm as new as they come and I hope this is going to the right spot - We have a '95 Dodge show truck. I decided the '99 Sport duel headlights would look real sweet in the truck. I was told by my suplier that they would fit right in. This was the start of all the problems. I finally got them installed by taking a 4" hole saw and cutting through the sheet metal behind the headlight to accomodate the second bulb. It fit good and it looked good. Now coming home one evening from a car show, I could smell wires burning so I pulled the dash panel off to check the headlight switch, the headlight switch and the wiring was burnt. I found out that the '95 Dodge had a problem in that area anyway and that it could not handle the extra electrical draw. Four relays and miles of wire finally solved the problem, I'm running a direct fuse wire from the battery to the relays and activating them with the dimmer switch. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't. You should be able to find a set of lights at the salvage yard at a reasonable price.

It sounds like you need a new truck, TurboSW. You're putting newer style headlights and everything on from a newer truck, and 20 inch pimp dubs from a newer truck on, on a 1996 truck. I don't get why you don't just sell this thing and get the truck you want, instead of putting everything on an older truck. I know that's just my opinion, but you're asking for advice anyways so you don't need to get mad at me over this. I'm not trying to offend you.

Wanting new head lights and different wheels warrants a new truck? One I don't want payments and 2, I love my truck. In fact I like the style better that the 05's. Now if I could get a Viper truck, that would be a different story.
BTW, I wasn't asking for your advise on how and what I should do to my truck. I asked how to fix things on my truck and your remakes are totaly useless. For example, the wheel stud problem I had.
