I own a 98 Honda Accord Coupe, its a EX V6. I notice whenever I get in the car and shift it from Park to Reverse or from Park to Drive it kinda jerks when it gets in gear. One of my friends told me about this girl he knows who also has a 98 Honda Accord V6 but hers is a sedan that does the same thing. I was wondering if anyone knew if i was my transmission going out or what but i never rag on the car. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

The 6th Generation V6 accords (98-02) along with the Acura CL/TL (base and S-type) all have tranny problems that Honda has acknowledged. They are replacing teh transmissions under warranty. It helps if your car is a certified preowned Honda/Acura and under 100K miles. Although I do know a few people who has had them replaced but the car wasn't purchased from a Honda dealer.
Good Luck

Re: 98 Honda Accord Tranny Problems?
I have same problem now with my 98 v6 sedan. Symptons disappear once car is driven 4-5 minutes / warmed up. How about yours - did it get worse ?
