Using A/C, does it hurt the Car..Please respond to this..

I have a 95 4.6 thunderbird, and the ac works great for these hot humid days-besides eating up gas, does it harm the car in any way?? I ask this cause one of my friends says it makes the engine work overtime. Funny cause the last 5 cars i've had, when you have the a/c on, it seems to make the cars loose just alittle power. Including my t bird. Not much power, but yall know what mean. As far as gas goes, yeah it eats the gas when its on, but i cannot sweat in my car-anywhere else but my car.

As far as keeping all the fluids in check, does using a/c waste antifreeze?? Please people help me.

It won't hurt the car it is just using some of the power off the motor. It is set up to handle it you will loose power with it on, but not too much.

waste antifreeze what do you mean leak?

Yes. It will make your car Blow up! Not Really.

But is there a reason why you felt you had to post the same question in TWO different threads???

Take a basic automotive course. You won't have to ask half of these questions.
