Looking For 93 Corolla ac compressor R-12
Hey if anyone has a parts car with a r-12 ac compressor and know that the clutch and everything on the compressor works fine I would be happy to buy it from you or if you know of a low cost place that I can buy one from I would be happy to buy it from there. I dont have alot of money so I need to keep the cost low. Summer is here and we just had a baby and on long car rides he doesnt last. we really need AC. Just respond to this post I check it daily.

Re: Looking For 93 Corolla ac compressor R-12
I got one at the junk yard and its running fine, have them show you that it works before you buy it. They have an electronic metor that will test it on the counter top. I paid $100 dollars for it. A new one can run between 2-4 hundred dollars

You might be able to find a R-12 compressor at a junk yard, but since the US does not use R-12 freon because of EPA standards, you might have some real trouble getting the freon. All systems now are R-134. YOu can use 134 in a R-12 system, as long as the 134 is compatable.
