setting timing on '97 Sierra 350

How do I check the timing on a 1997 Sierra z71 w/ 350?

Where is the adjustment screw on the distributor?

Thanks.

Re: setting timing on '97 Sierra 350

You don't adjust timing on a 97. If the SES isn't on for a P1345 your timing is good enough to run.

If you do want to check it you need a scantool that will display cam retard or camshaft offset. On a V8 it should be 0 degrees +/- 2 degrees
