need help to program 2001 sl2 remote please

I have a 2001 sl2 and I need to program my remote. The dealer wants $39.00 to program it. What a rip-off for just pushing a few buttons. Somebody help me avoid the rip-off pleaaaaaase...............

well, unfortunately, unless you have acess to a tech 2 (gm's scan tool) you are out of luck. you might want to call around though, some dealers will do it for free.
