that srt-4 was more than just slightly modded to take a evo-8 that bad. turbo upgrade maybe or b/c and tons of boltons

He probably didn't need all that many mods to beat him. I mean Mopar sells some seriously sick packages for not much dough. That Evo owner doesn't appear to know what he is doing from a dig. I guarantee i'd take that SRT-4 out of the hole alot worse then he did. Then again I launch at like 6K rpms

What alot of people fail to realize about the SRT-4 versus the Evo is the whp and weight factor. Heck i'd venture to say that a stock SRT-4 would beat an Evo from a roll. I picked up an issue of sport compact car where they dynoed both of them. The Evo turned the rollers at 233whp, the SRT-4 at 223whp. The SRT-4 only weighs 2950 ish pounds, versus the Evo's 3250 (3298 w/ sunroof). That's alot of weight for 10 whp to compensate for. From a dig though, there is no excuse. I mean we are talking on the street, and the evo should flat out rock an SRT-4 out of the hole.
