changing shifter nob

Does anybody know how to take the shifter off? does it unscrew or is it a screw in it or what? please help

there is a staple in the back side of the shifter that needs to slide out. Then is pulls up, but don't break the wires.

Yeah, I ripped my wires in half when I did it. So lift up slowly and gently.
