'92 LeSabre A/C-heater controls
I have a 92 LeSabre that when I change from heat, vent defrost, A/C the direction of the air flowing does not change. If I change from heat to A/C, the A/C does come on but it just does not flow out the correct vents in the dash. I believe the door or flap that diverts the air to the different vents is not moving. I am assuming its somehow controlled by vacuum.. or a electrical vacuum operated switch but I cannot find any fuses blown or anything else wrong.
Anyone have any clues?? Thanks Chopper-boyz |

Re: '92 LeSabre A/C-heater controls
Does your cruise control work? If not you have lost the vacume feed into the car. The vacume feed comes off the back of the intake to a tee by the vacume tank on the firewall. Check for cracked or loose lines.

Jed Rule,
Thanks for the information, you were dead on.... while the cruise control still worked, I looked in the general area and found a vacuum line disconnected from a port on the firewall. It must have came off when I changed out the plug wires a few weeks ago. Chopper-boyz |
