Re: little things to improve performance

from what i've seen in other posts.....you're gonna get people to come here and say to do a swap with a B18 series engine. actually, if you search, i remember reading a thread where two guys were going at it cuz one said that he tricked out a D series engine that could blow away and B series.....i just read it cuz it was funny seeing both guys trying to be better than the other. if i find that thread again, i will let you know.

4-2-1 header, intake, suspension, upgraded tires; all those would cut down your times.

Re: little things to improve performance

for auto-x and slaloom i cant emphasize suspension and good tires enough, good friend of mine raced his d15 on autoX and consistantly was one of the top cars at every event. a good driver makes all the difference.

Re: little things to improve performance

whenever my buddies go up to willow springs, they mention most everyone there runs on falken azenis. Tires and wheels are a good place to start. then beef up the suspension, and then simple bolt-ons should do the trick. Good Luck to ya!

Re: little things to improve performance

yea dude suspention there are so many diferent classses for auto x you dont need to hook the the engine crazy to do good - your only racing ur self no one else - so go with full suspention tie bars strut bars and also good tires and 15-16 inch rimz
good luck -

thx a lot guys but actually .. i wanted some ideas :P .. instead of suspension and tires/rims (already done). You know just to beef it up a little ... here are the thoughts i had .. let me know what you think

1- Si transmission
2- Accord injectors (worried about the ratio air/fuel tho)
3- Si intake (again ... maybe too much air?)
4- Si ECU or else since Si has VTEC and my motor dont

i/h/e are already done (4-1 header comin) so thats about it ... for now :P

Suggestions wellllll welcomed!! :P

Re: little things to improve performance

uhh you can't just swap ecu's like that from a vtec to non-vtec

why does it sound odd that your already circuit racing and yet you have no clue practically about performance mods? why does that sound backwards?

Re: Re: little things to improve performance

Tires & suspension are key but the best mod IMO, RACING SCHOOL! Pro instruction

You could have the fastest car on track but if you can't drive right, it's worthless.

Re: little things to improve performance

get a 92-95 EX transmission.
4-1 header
air intake
If you can run open header at the track, then do so.
Adjustable cam gear. retard around 4 degrees and you should gain a couple ponies up top
Many companies make a cam for that style of head casting (pre 96 non-VTEC)
dont worry about the fuel injectors, most honda injectors are the same flow rate @ 240cc
