Exclamation Need some help with a 97 Civic Driver side Fender***

Iv got a Bigish dent on the drivers side Fender (RHD). I tried the bathroom plunger thing to pull it out and it just made the dent worse. I need some information on how to remove the Driver side fender (My car is UK spec RHD). All links and url's etc are appreciated. If any one has any experience on pulling out dents thats would be good. Thanks.

bathroom suction thing? a plunger? I'm not sure what part of the body you mean by wing.

hi m8. can you see the black civic pic in ur profile on the right. Look at the left front light and its the wing which connects to the light (z3 fenders would normally replace this wing), its above the side indicator light.

Oh. Hmmmm....I would call a dent removal company. I had a dent in my stock hood and I tried to take it out myself and only made it worse.

kicker may know, he does body work

its not a wing! its a front right/left fender, or front right/left quarter panel.. wing is what you would call the big tacky thing ricer's slap on their trunk

Re: Need some help with a 97 Civic Driver side Wing***

Aiight, here's how to take off the fender. I had to do this a week ago to install my 99-00 fenders...

There are a total of 6 bolts.

1. Pop the hood. Along the top of the fender and the wall of the engine bay, there will be three bolts holding the fender on. Loosen these, but don't totally unscrew them.

2. Look in your wheel well at the front of your sideskirt. There will be one screw holding the front of the skirt on. Unscrew this. Un-snap about 1-2 of the plastic holders on the sideskirt to give you some working room undernead the skirt. Pull the skirt off a little bit in the front.

3. There will be two more bolts underneath the side of sideskirt (where the skirt meets the fender). Unscrew both of these and take them out fully. (DONT LOSE THEM)

4. Open your door. There will be one more bolt on the inside of the frame where your door hinges are. It's a little tough to get to, but with the right tools, it can be done. Unscrew this bolt and keep it with the other two.

5. Go back to three bolts in the engine bay. Take of the two outer ones first and then the middle one. Slowly pull the fender off the car.

That's it. Good luck!

Because if you take them off first like I did, when you get that last bolt off, your fender falls on your head...
