newbie need modeling help

Hi guys i m new here,
also noob in car modeling.
got a few questions:
1) how to make a car model plastic windscreen to look like its glass?
2) how do u guys paint tail lamps of the car ?
3) i got an SIFT UEO AE86 thats full of decals, after i do up the body spray works, placed my decals can i spray over it with a clear coat?
4) how to make tyres looks real, n not original from box ?
5) how does primer work ?
6) finally is there any websites tat gives car models tips ?

1) in what way does your windscreen not look like glass?
2) clear colored paint. Tamiya makes some terrific transparent colors.
3) nicely covered in FAQ
4) in what way do your tires not look real? Do you want them shinier? Less shiney? More worn? Dirty? there are ways to do all of these- what are you looking for?
5) it's like paint, that leaves a good surface for painting. FAQ.
