Hello Everyone

Hi, I'm rachael. I'm new to automotiveforums, so I guess I'll introduce myself by describing something that brings us all here: modes of transportation. I have 4 vehicles now and no immediate plans for expansion. A '73 VW Karmann Ghia, '94 Toyota Pickup, '99 Mercedes SLK230, and an '01 Kawasaki Ninja 250.

My love and, hopefully, eventually finished restoration project... The '73 VW Karmann Ghia that has the typical Ghia problem of rusty floor pans. Very rusty. Actually, after tearing the insides apart to examine them, I have determined that I have no (at least, barely any) bottom to the car. I'll have to fabricate a floor and, considering the effort and money involved, I am sadly abandoning the restoration project temporarily due to the extent of body work needed -- but I'm not giving up hope.

My pickup is my daily driver. It's not much to look at but the engine's super clean, it runs great, has cold a/c, and I can throw anything in it. Thus, it makes the perfect around-town car.

I'm garaging the SLK for a while because I have put so many miles on it (about 75,000) and I'd like for some of them to roll off with time. What can I say about it? That car is fun to drive. I love the German handling.

Of course, the Ninja is the most fun of all. Although, I won't be riding much for the next few months (it rains practically every day in Florida in the summer) . This is my first bike and I absolutely love it.

So, there's my intro and I guess I'm officially in the system now. See you in the forums...
