It ain't what I thought..Now WHAT?
I bought what I thought was a 1958 Thunderbird CONVERTABLE, only to find aftet I bought it that the code is for a COUPE. The previous owner had lopped off the top. NOW my question is: Does the car need reinforced in any way now that it has been modified into a convertable??
Do I need to reinforce the rocker rails? and what about the trunk? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: It ain't what I thought..Now WHAT?
I would say yes because the top bears quite a bit of the weight. Might try calling some shops that do custom work and get their opinion.

I would certainly check on it. Like flewthecoupe said you might want to talk to a customs shop or you might be able to find someone who has done it before who would know.
It is better to be safe then sorry!
