Suffered my first loss the other night...

I have a 90 Acura Integra with a 98 USDM B18C1 with a few bolt ons to it and a 50 shot of nitrous (never used the nitrous while racing). I haven't lost a race since I've had the car, beat many civics, integras, preludes, trucks, etc....
Well I was driving through this town about 45 minutes from mine the other night and what do you know...I see a Honda S2000 pulling up to a just turning red light about a block ahead of me, so I get on it a little bit to try and catch the light with him. There we are at the light, still red, I look over at him and he's already looking at me kinda smiling. So I rev a little bit just to make sure we're on and he revs and holds his rev. I see the side light turning yellow so I rev and hold it waiting for the light to hit green. It's green and we launch, I got the better launch and had him all the way through first gear. I hit second gear hard and strong but as soon as he hit second he was slowly pulling by me, by the end of second he was past me. We slowed down and I pulled up next to him and gave him a thumbs up, he waved and then turned on the next street. I know my car is nothing special, but I felt good that I pulled on him even though I ended up losing.

yea not bad race but i hear s2000 arent as fast as they are cracked up to be i wana try my luck against one.. but i agree if feels good to pull on a person even if you loss.. good times

its not vin diesel its the bang bang guy from friday

Well hes not stock either. He said hes got a b18C1 motor swap with bolt on so im thinking hes maybe high 14s low 15s. So it dosnt seem like he would have to spray to keep up the way he did with the S2k.

the curb wieght of a teg isn't that much more then a civic coupe.Hell, most the time they are equal in wieght.Those 2nd gen tegs are good for swaps.New a guy with a b18c5 in one.Was pulling mid to high 14's on only stock block an intake.No exhaust or n e thing.

I'm not gonna spray in the middle of town on such a short race lol. And I don't know if the S2k was stock or not, probably though. I think I mostly had him because I had a better launch than he did.

Good race. ... when you take a car that could get crushed by a scooter, with what was it.... 240 horsepower......and you pull on it without the nitrous.......i'll give you props on that. Once again good job.
