sun roof question

So here is my problem... whenever i have the sun roof open it rattles like crazy. I have tried tightening the screws that i can see, but i can't figure out how to stop the damn rattle. can any one help me??

you probably need new 'slider' bushings.

Does it rattle up and down or left to right?

i have the same problem in my 92 si. Usually i just tap the button to make it go up slightly,just till i hear the motor go for under a sec. It stops the rattle but not the problem

i think it is up and down but i'm not sure. the only way i can get it to stop is ghetto riggin it while it is open by stuffing a napkin or something up there. and one other thing, i am not sure its related but when i close the door the sun roof kinda jumps. i haven't noticed it on my friends lude, he has the same year. any suggestions are appreciated

it jumps because when you close the door, you increase the pressure inside for that split second.

my sunroof rattles too, but that's probably because all the internals of the sunroof are probably worn down.
