intermittant dexcool leak

97 blazer 4.3 w auto. I was away over the week end and got a call from my son. puddle under the car. he thought it was tranny fluid. last month i did have a tranny leak from the linkage seal. which i believe is on the drivers side of the tranny. before i had it repaired at aamco in burlington NC i did notice a drip on the passenger side of the engine and tranny it seemed more like dexcool than trans fluid. only happened once. the reason i had it fixed in NC, I am from Ma. tranny valve body problem, hard shift 1-2, ses code 1870. the best i can tell this current leak is more orange than red, not oilly but no dexcool smell either. it appears to be on the pass side of the oil pan and a drip from a mount on the pass side. i see nothing from the top. all fluids are full. have had to add no tranny, oil, power steering, dexcool, removed rad cap full. pulled the overflow tube from coolant resevoir, dry and a cobweb growing in it!! no leaks since the puddle. cardboard is dry after driving to work and back 18 miles each way and several shorter trips. right now i cant get under to look more closely hurt my back last week. dripping again after a day of sitting stayed home (bad back) to rest a few small drops on driveway definately dexcool coolant still need to find source 85000 on it guess it is lower intake gasket minimal drop in overflow tank so i guess i just caught it in time maybe saturday am for my mechanic friend hes done um before going to do theromstat intake gasket valve cover gaskets anything else?? flush system

Sometimes the intake manifold gasket leaks and it can drip down the engine block. Check where the intake meets the head. HTH
