Cracked Intercooler Not boosting?

i have a 240sx with a sr20det motor in it. I recently got in a front end collision and the bumper support bent in and cracked the hell out of my blitz intercooler. I had to drive my car home from the accident and the car would not boost at all. the car would sputter and smelt like ****. i was wondering if just a cracked intercooler would do this?

yes it would. i remember one of my ic pipes popping off when driving and i could hardly step on the pedal. a cracked ic would definately do this. that sucks..
