hard idle, fuel filter?

I think I need to replace my fuel filter, can anyone tell me or show me a photo of where it is so I can replace it? I am sure that is what it is not 100% but I thought that would be a good start.
Thanks!
Britten

Re: hard idle, fuel filter?

Pending on the year, the newer Tahoe's fuel filter is on the frame underneath, right around the drivers door. You may want to clean your air intake manifold butterfly valve first. If the edges are carbon up, it will run rough. At least mine does.

On your 1997 CHEVROLET TRUCK TAHOE 4WD, the FILTER-FUEL is:

UNDER VEHICLE, DRIVER SIDE, BELOW SEATING AREA, DRIVER SIDE OF TRANSMISSION, MOUNTED ON FRAME RAIL IN FUEL LINE
