In Progress A'pex D1 Project FD3S

Here's where I am at the moment - not going to be very involved just basically out of the box except for SAS seats. No problems with the decals (as yet) altho I'm approaching the CF hood with trepidation !.
Just playing around with wheel combinations at the moment - the front are the kit tyres with a lip - rears are Pegasus sleeves & I need to paint the gold on the wheels again -think I may add a bit of silver this time.

Thanks for looking
Andy

looking good Andy. The wheels lokok like they have varied in the shade of old from year to year on this car- the D-1 in Irwindale this year they were mostly silver, very little gold in them, but some pics from last year show them about the same shade that yours look now. Great job so far

When you say the kit tyres with a lip, does the lip come in the kit or no ?

The kit rims do have a bit of a lip but on the front one I've added a trim ring from a Aoshima 18" rim to make it a bit deeper dished - I think the real car runs on 18's but somehow the kit rims look a little small & the tyres have too high profile to me (then again perhaps I'm too used to looking at 19" rims)

Ahh gotta love it. Looks awesome with all those decals. The rims are nice too but i agree with mixing a little silver in there.
