Hi,
Have a 96 Rodeo that suddenly lost light to the right side set of instruments. Makes driving at night rather difficult. Has anyone replaced these lights before? If so, any special tools or things I need before taking apart the dash? Thanks, cboehle |

Re: 96 needs replace instrument panel light. Any help?
I had the same prob with my 97. All you have to do is disassemble the instrument cluster, all you need is a philips screwdriver.
once you get to the internal instrument cluster behind the clear plastic inside the dash, look on the backside and there will be 4 little plastic pieces that will need to twist to remove. the bulbs are in these plastic pieces. go to wal-mart and look up the bulbs in the bulb replacment computer, it will be by the headlights. it took me less than an hour to do this. good luck!

Thanks danforth45. I will do it myself then. It sounds pretty straight forward.

I agree that it was an easy fix. The little green covers come off and should fit on the new bulbs.
