Overhead Light problem

I have a 1994 Corsica and my overhead light will not go off. Further, when I take my key out of the ignition the car begins to "ding" to inform me that the light is on. Even after I removed the bulb from the overhead light the dinging continues. At the same time that this started (last Friday while on a 30 min drive), my radio stopped keeping the time and settings. Each time I start the car the clock resets to 12:00 and the radio to 1400AM.

Not surprisingly, the overhead light, the radio and the clock are all on the same fuse. The fuse is not blown but removing it does stop the dinging. My lack of knowledge of electrical wiring allows me to only make the vaguest of guesses as to what's wrong.
