which shock set-up would be best for a 88-91 civic/crx with a h22a....i know the engine is heavy and i'd still like to do autocross and what not

uhh an aftermarket shock setup. contrary to popular belief yeah the h22a does add weight but its only about 200lbs so yeah handling does get affect alittle but not much it is still very much streetable. i think progressive or whatever that company is called makes springs for hybrid cars. or a higher spring rate shocks would do too

kinda bias on this but i have tein and i love them. a little too stiff for the street but the cornering SCARES me. i'm certain there are different spring rates to choose from.

assuming you're not gonna cheap out.

I'd go with Tein or Tanabe.
