300ZX TT vs Supra TT

How would these two stack up stock for stock? What about with around 3000 bucks worth of mods? 1/4 mile , autocross, track days, scca. Basically any situation.

The Supra is the King of the Twin Turbos. Stock for stock it is faster through the 1/4 Mile and 60 Miles. Handling is closer, but the edge still goes to the Supra, and braking is about a tie. That's not saying the 300ZX isn't quick, it very much is quick, but stock the Supra is quicker and faster. As far modifying goes, both cars respond well with simple bolt-ons so both cars would make much more power with $3,000.

for 0-60 both cars are rated at 5.7 seconds and sometimes at 5.5 or more - for 1/4, a 300zxtt is rated at 14.1 and supra at 14.0

pure driver's race.

but I think it's easier to get power outta that supra, so my vote goes to supra (although I love nissan)

Those times seem slow to me for the Supra, I've seen them tested much faster, and the only stock one (cuz almost all are modified now) I saw at the track ran a best time of 13.6. In the hands of the right driver, the Supra should be capable of low to mid 13s stock.

I remember when I bought my first VR4. Of all the other cars in its class, only the 300Z had any appeal for me.

Ok, here we go again, with the opinions and no facts, WTF are you talking about? Do you really know cars or do you just pull things out of your a**? The Supra is a 14 second car with a bad driver or a very crappy track, as is an EVO, STI, Camaro, Firebird, Mustang, and etc. Sh*t not even the RX-7 and VR4 are 14 Second cars, my previously owned VR4 ran 13.8@99MPH Stock, so I'm quite sure the Supra is capable of 13s. Besides the car has been already tested in the 13s by Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and Road and Track, and I personally saw a Black one bone freaking stock run a 13.6 at the drag strip (the guy had like 110,000 miles on it), dude that's enough evidence for me. I mean it's pointless to even argue with you, just believe what you want-

Re: 300ZX TT vs Supra TT

youseen a supra run 14.0 the driver sucked lol. look at the artice i posted in the supra vs m3 thread its an actual article from car and driver, geez, i like the 300zxtt also but facts are facts. i admit that a supra if faster than my car. stop whining about your car its not the fastest thing on the road by a long shot and niether is mine. usually a supra runs the average of 13.5-4. your 300zxtt is capable of 13.9-8. its not THAT much faster but it is faster.

Re: 300ZX TT vs Supra TT

when the hell did i say a stock 300 would win never and umm yes MY 300 would beat a stock supra sorry

and with a good driver yes the supra can go 13.6 and 13.7 i admit that, but how many people are that good? come on honestly? take about .5 off that where you get the 14 from

Re: 300ZX TT vs Supra TT

no it can run 13.1 with a good driver wchich is why you take off maybe .3 sec which is why it runs an average of 13.5. and many people have tested these cars and then the owners end up running better times then the magazine did, so its really up to the driver.
