the Lude is missing around 2k rpms

alright guys, my first problem w/ my 93' SI lude. It misses around 2k rpms like when i'm accellerating.. it has new plugs and wires.. and it seemed to do it after i washed my engine w/ degreaser and a hose.. ic overed up my distributor, and air filter.. now what is going on?

sounds like you got water in the plug wire holes (in the top of your valve cover)

I accidentally did the same thing.. the water grounds the spark against the valve cover. Pull your plug wires off, look in each hole, there's probably standing water in there. I had to take a paper towel and poke it in the hole to soak up the water out of a couple of my plug holes.

I don't mean inside the cylinder, so don't go pulling plugs out, but the recesses where the plug wires go down onto the plugs.
