Tail lights converter wiring for trailer??? For older 94-95 Subaru Legacy

I installed a hitch last year, mostly for carrying bikes on my 94 Legacy. Works great. This year I need to move, and I decided to rent a small trailer and hook it up to my hitch. I think I got everything for hooking up the trailer except for wiring. My old Subaru, of course, does not have a factory pre-installed hook up.

I got a tail lights converter for older models too. 4 pin flat type. With a bunch of wires coming out of the converter; the wires that need to be connected to: left, right turn signals wires, stop, etc. etc. I have never done this before. I looked at the connection to my turn signals, etc. Could not find the easy way to connect.

Has anyone done this before? What is the best way to do this? I think I can figure out the right wires. Just don't know where? What place? Does anyone have any advice about how to do this?

Thank you.

I haven't done it before, but you'll probably have to splice into the current wiring.

I second the splicing, just make sure to use the right wires. The easiest way to splice into them would be to use little splicing clamps (im not sure what the actual name for it is)
