Aluminum AMC engine.
A friend of mine has come across a 1962 Rambler 660 sedan, 32 k on it, (original) in storage for 30 years in a barn. Its very clean and straight, but the engine is seized. It has a 196 (?) cid aluminum straight six. (AMC design)
I never knew AMC made any aluminum engines. How rare is this engine? I know that Chrysler made a quite a few aluminum six cyl engines for Valiants in the early '60's. Did AMC have the same idea? |

Chances are the pump was too corroded to be useful. I'll inquire, though and let you know if its available. |
