brake light switch

How do I install brake light switch in 1995 GMC Suburban.
I can not find how to remove the retaining clip that holds the switch on.

Did you figure out how to remove? I am having same problem with 97 Sierra. Please let me know if you have any information.

hope ya figured it out, break it off and replace it, i used to be a ford dealer mechanic, you dont need the old one, and youll be good to go by breaking it- careful with wires
