starting problem :( PLEASE HELP

I am having problems starting my CRX. It has a b-16a in it. It is really sparatic, it only does in in the summer, and only when it is really hot(this may just be coincidence, but the fact that it did it last summer, then not at all this winter makes me wonder). I thought it was the distributor cap/rotor/seal. I've replaced the cap, with a 91 Integra RS cap(i was told to replace with a 94 del sol, or 92-93 GSR, but these did not fit. Only the Teg RS fit). I have the rotor on order, but because it had just started up this morning, i would have thought just fixing the cap, and the seal(not the actual seal, just used an O-ring, parts store did not have an actual seal with the cap, guess i'll have to go to the dealer) would have fixed it, but it did not.

So, my question to you guys is: What else besides the distrubitor cap/rotor/seal would be the problem?? What else would be heat related. I really am lost as is my dad and uncle(pretty good with cars). HELP ME! I need to get to work, lol,(and play!!)

Thanks guys

I've had many starters go out on me, NONE like this. Starters don't stop working for a month, then work fine for a whole winter. Thanks for all the help captain ovbious

Ehhhh: I was wrong, and dumbfounded.

Put the new rotor on, poof started right up, no probs, could feel the difference in response and power because of the better spark, thought everything was fixed. Now, i've started it up twice, mid-day noon- 4 pm and it won't start, or has a very hard time. I'm 100% sure this is heat related now. I have an O-ring for a seal right now untill I order one from a dealer(the local parts store doesn't have it) But I would think that it would work temporarily and not still cause problems.

I'm lost, would the main relay have problems due to heat? I'm unfamiliar with the main relay so I have no clue. Please help guys, I have shit to do,

Thanks in advance

ok, this is what u do, when u turn ur car to the on position, before starting it, and all thelights in the gauge cluster go on (check engine light, seatbelt light, etc.) wait for the check engine light to go off then do it. try that and see if it helps.

yep main relay is heat related, in hot days or after a while of runing the car te main relay heats up and doesnt send signal to the fuel ingectors fuel sistem etc. the relay is under the dash in the drivers area under the tach. its a black box the size of a beeper, has 12v stamped in white. change it, it costs around $60 $80 at honda u can get it used for like $20 but wont last as long as the new one. now im 99.99.9% sure its the relay.

Yep its the main relay, I have a 90 Integra and I had the same problem. It wouldn't start when the car was hot or warm from driving. I changed my starter and distribitor before finding that out.
