ok i need help getting the front hub off my 88 crx si does any one know how to do this the axle nut is off and it doesn't seem like anything should be holding it on but it wont come off.

Whn I changed my wheel bearing the other week I had to have mine pressed out at a machine shop, I've heard of people bangin em out, but I did'nt wana do that.

put the nut on it to where the top of it is at the top of the threads and beat on it with a hammer.

forgive my ignorance but how do you beat it out if its still on the car.it needs tobe pulled out and the only to beat it is in?what is pressing?

if you took the axle nut off ok.. there's 3 more nuts to take off.. one at the top of the hub assembly, one for the steering tie rod, and one at the bottom of the hub assembly, you'll need a puller to get them out as they are tapered and get pretty stuck on the hub assembly. once those three are disconnected you may have to take your brake caliper off of the hub assembly and then nothing will be holding it on and it will come right off
