Anyone have a solution to moderate engine knock when the car is accelerating? I've tried all kinds of gas without any change. The knock isn't terrible but is noticeable.....Scott

My parents had this problem. They were putting in 87 octane. I told my dad to change to 89 at least, and the car stopped knocking.
I am not quite sure what you mean by different gas, as in different octane or different companies. But if you haven't tried higher octane 89 is recommended at least for the 2k2-2k4. I do suggest staying away from Shell though. |
