How to delete manufacturing set key pad codes for keyless entry system
Please Help ! I have a 1995 Ford Taurus. Recently someone in the neighborhood know the code to unlock my door (key pad entry system) get in my car and stole cd player. I want to change to a new code but I read the owner manual said that eventhough I set the new code, the manufacturing code that set by Ford will still there. Is anyway I can delete this setted code ? Please Help. Thank you

It has been a bunch of years ago that we had a '96 Lincoln, but if I remember correctly the owner can enter another code, and as you say the original is still entered. We didn't need to enter another code but it would seem that if the code you entered had to be pressed first, knowing the original code wouldn't do anyone any good as they couldn't get to the original. Your local Ford dealer should be able to assist with this. Good luck.
