Angry Engine cutting out

I noticed at the end of a journey yesterday where there were no problems, that quite suddenly the engine cut out as I was taking off. I was able to get home by keeping the revs high but it kept it was behaving erratically as if there was a fuel problem. I started the car this morning and the same problem was there. It started but it kept cutting out. My neighbour who knows a bit about cars said it sounds like an oil filter problem.
Any help appreciated

hey is ur car air flow metered, try another one and see
have you popped a vacuum line off
if your car is afm check to see if there's any leaks after the airflow meter... get some engine start and spray some around the inlet manifold and vacuum lines etc, if you spray some and the revs pick up it has a leak that you'll have to remedy
oil blockages don't generally cause an engine to stall, the most they do is drop in oil pressure and you'll have a nice heavy paperweight to play with

well there's a couple of ideas to try anyway
hope it helps some
