Convertible Tops

QUESTION.

I HAVE A 1992 325i CONVERTIBLE WITH A CANVAS TOP AND PLASTIC
NON-ZIPPER BACK WINDOW. THE STITCHING AROUND THE WINDOW HAS ROTTED FROM SUN AND THE WINDOW HAS FALLEN OUT. THE CANVAS TOP IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. MY QUESTION IS HAS ANYONE EVER SEWN THE WINDOW BACK IN OR HAD SOMEONE OR A COMPANY REPLACE THE WINDOW? IF SO DID IT TURN OUT ALRIGHT? AND WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE ON THAT..OR WOULD IT JUST BE EASIER
TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE TOP? ALSO ONE OF THE HINGES ON THE
FRAME ON THE BACK RIGHT SIDE HAS BENT AND THE ARM HAS BROKEN..DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FRAME? OR CAN I BUY THE REPLACEMENT ARM SOME WHERE?

THANK YOU FOR ANY ASSISTANCE

TAMI

Re: Convertible Tops

PLEASE DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS. We don't like people that do nothing but yelling. I don't know any prices for you, perhaps you might be able to find the part you need at a junkyard or something?

Re: Convertible Tops

It should not be too hard to find someone willing to resew the top, junkyard for hard parts.
