Prices?

Hey guys, just curious on how much you guys think it would cost to rebuild or replace my motor in my car if it ever went bad. how about the transmission and clutch too?

My car has 101,000 miles on it... do you think it has awhile left in it?
i only got my car for 4,999 so i guess i cant complain.

Re: Prices?

your engine has alot left in it
yes the lt1 is the 93-97 v8 motor
yes the exhaust will still fit
no chips for these cars since 87 i think you have to get them reprogrammed
the intake for the v6 is the same as the v8 so you could get that now for your car and use it on the new mototr too

Thats not possible. An intake cannot be the same for 2 totally different motors. A V6 intake will not fit a V8 intake, sorry, not gonna happen, no way no how. You have 2 more cylinders to feed with a V8 than with a V6. The V6 intake will be too short, will not bolt up, will not work. You must have no idea what you are talking about if you think a V6 intake will fit a V8. You would have two dead cylinders, two intake ports with no intake to feed them, and you would have no vacuum to run power steering or brakes. The engine WOULD NOT RUN!!!

Talk about a square bolt in a round hole....

haha i agree and there are chips but i wouldnt waste money on em and a v6 exhaust aint gonna help the v8 you need 3 inch pipes on the v8 and 2.5 on the v6!!! I think what we here like to call cncjrdt r whatever his name is is a good ole fashion DUMBSHIT
