A/c expansion valve

I would like to know where the A/C expansion valve is located on my 1996 Dodge Dakota. My truck is a v6, auto, 2wd.

Should be on the pass. side firewall. I just replaced mine on my 88, and it was three bolts. I would assume they are the same. Look for a silver (may be dirty) box with two AC lines coming out of it. Hope this helps.
