help

ok i am about put my block back together and was wondering what all i need new as in gaskets and seals for stock d16a6....onlky thing i know is a exhaust and intake gasket,head gasket,oil pan gasket and screen

I would replace the front and rear main seals. You also have the thermostat housing gasket, the front waterneck gasket, and the valve cover gasket. You may or may not have removed some of those things, but i would definately replace the main seals while the engine is apart.

right on man, i just got told that from a friend block is getting hot tanked so i mine as well replase every gasket ....thanks

in this service book for the block says replace o-rings or something when i dismantle block...my block is geting honed and hot tank at the moment if anyone can tell me what these o rings there talk aobut please fill me in for the time being i went bought all new gaskets

the only o rings that i know of is the seal for the oil control jet & distributor. Its recommended that you change both of these on an engine rebuild as well..

piston rings.same as o rings just dif name.they should replace them since their goin to hone out the cylinder walls.

thanks dude....crx thanks for info but i already have replace them i was talking about o rings not piston rings....buti guess i get those 2 o irngs that way i am on the safe side
