reupholstering seats
i'm thinking of reupholstering the seats in my car to make them match the car a little better (gray and gray to black and green). anyways, the seats have that sort of racing seat shape to them already, so i'd like to just redo the upholstry. problem is i have absolutely no idea how to go about doing this. if anybody can help, i'd appreciate it

Yes take the car to a reputable upholstery shop. Tell them what you want ..drop it off...pick it up when done and pay them. Doing upholstery on a seat is an art form. You must know how to cut the fabrice properly and then how to sew it back together properly. If you are truely looking for a nice set of seats...have a pro do it.

i would, but there's the whole money issue and i'd rather say i did it myself.
and either way, fucking up and buying a seat from a junk yard would probably be cheaper than getting it done professionally

If anyone needs help, feel free to PM me. I've been upholstering for 10 years and can do anything from fiberglass panels to custom one piece headliners (popular with older cars that have headliner bows). I'll be happy to share my knowledge!
