Question SS Wheels

Has anyone tried SS wheels on their Silverado? I'm thinking about buying some off of ebay. I tried researching others that would look good, but most of them seem kinda gaudy looking........I'm looking for a sporty look, not a lifted look btw.

Could you tell me more about these wheels. Do you have a 2x4 or a 4x4.

SS wheels.....meaning the same SS 20" wheels that they use on the new Silverado SS's. I saw some for sale on ebay and the guy said that they rode great. I think this will be my next major mod.....now I just gotta burn off the tread on these tires so I have an excuse!

Red,

The "SS" wheels do look good, not too flashy and easy to maintain. I was going to buy some direct from the dealer but GM doesn't put a complete set of the SS wheels in a package deal, so its more expensive since you have to buy the wheel, then the wheel nuts, and then the center cap. It comes out to about $550.00 per rim. But, GM has put out 10 new styles of 20" wheels out for the consumer to buy aftermarket through GM performance...You can see them at Chevy.com and just click under silverado...that should pull up an accessories page, then click on wheels. Also, you're gonna need the Jounce Bumper Kit from GM. I'm not quite sure how much it runs, but its a kit that includes spacers for your front springs so you you don't bottom out going over bumps with 20's.

I was considering buying some SS wheels for my black ex-cab silverado, but unfortunately last Monday I rolled my truck four times on the access road of the highway and totalled out my 6 month old truck. I so recommend GAP insurance through the dealer, because I walk away from the deal clean and I get to pick up my '04 2500HD Diesel tomorrow.
