Re: saleen made by ford?

hmm, so the S7 is their own creation, but they took some of Ford's car and modified it?

I dont think the Saleen S7 has a Ford engine, I think virtually the entire car is made by Saleen. I remember reading an article that the S7 has only one part common with a Saleen Mustang, and it something like the electric motors in the power mirror or something else really mundane.

the saleen has an all aluminum (block and heads) 427 pushrod engine that is assembled on site at saleen's factory. a lot of people think that because of saleens relation with other fords that the s7 is also a ford parts car.

check out this picture of my big goofy ass with the man and his car.
