90-91 tail lights fit on my 88 CRX?

I was going to buy some tail lights from a friend but he has a 90-91 CRX so I was wondering if they were compattible with my 88 CRX HF.

Will they fit?

I am almost certain that they will bolt right on, but the plugs are different.... someone correct me if im wrong

I don't know about the plugs, but I know they bolt in. The reverse light and reflector are a little different though.



90-91 on the right, 88-89 on the left.

So if i get them I will be able to install them and they will work so i don't get pulled over againf or having a cracked tail light?

We're talking about CRX's here...not Civics. As far as I know, they are identical. The only difference is cosmetic. The 90-91's have the darker trim around the outside edge of the taillights, where the 88-89's do not. I know of many people that have swapped their taillights for either the 88-89 or 90-91 style with no difficulties.

they will work. my center 90-91 center piece broke so i put in the 88 center piece for now.
